Korean style spicy Tofu with an easy Gochujang sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 heaped tsp garlic paste

  • 2 heaped tsp ginger paste

  • 2 or 3 tsp Gochujang paste

  • 2 tsp Teriaki sauce

  • Block of firm tofu

  • Pinch sugar

  • Chilli flakes to taste

  • Rice

  • Spring onion

Directions

  • In a small bowl mix the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, Gochujang and Teriaki.
  • Add sugar and chilli flakes if required.
  • Put rice on to cook while you finish prep.
  • Cut the tofu into desired size chunks and fry until it’s the desired consistency.
  • Remove tofu from heat until rice is cooked if it needs a little more time.
  • Add sauce and mix well until the tofu is coated. Cook for a couple of minutes until sauce thickens a little and sticks to the tofu.
  • Plate rice and add a serving of the spicy tofu.
  • Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds.
