Vegan Spicy Tofu – Korean Style

minutesKorean style spicy Tofu with an easy Gochujang sauce
Ingredients
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 heaped tsp garlic paste
2 heaped tsp ginger paste
2 or 3 tsp Gochujang paste
2 tsp Teriaki sauce
Block of firm tofu
Pinch sugar
Chilli flakes to taste
Rice
Spring onion
Directions
- In a small bowl mix the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, Gochujang and Teriaki.
- Add sugar and chilli flakes if required.
- Put rice on to cook while you finish prep.
- Cut the tofu into desired size chunks and fry until it’s the desired consistency.
- Remove tofu from heat until rice is cooked if it needs a little more time.
- Add sauce and mix well until the tofu is coated. Cook for a couple of minutes until sauce thickens a little and sticks to the tofu.
- Plate rice and add a serving of the spicy tofu.
- Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds.
